[Mspgcc-users] Re: msp430F2131

dtran and others who have have mentioned problems compiling for
MSP430x2 are correct.

Here are two specific problems arising with the binary Windows
distribution of 26 October.

1. The linker (version 2.16) does not 'support emulation' for
msp430x2131. This results in linker failure. Supported emulation modes
can be confirmed from msp430-ld -V

2. iostructures.h has only been partially updated. Easily fixed as
below.

John Heenan

using make on a makefile with
CPU = msp430x2131

msp430-gcc -mmcu=msp430x2131 -o leds.elf main.o

Hi Steve,

I have look in the files, but wasn't able to find anything that is related to
the MSP430F2131, except the object files. No makefile or library or includes
file at all.

Do you have a samples MS430F2131 codes and make files that I can use as a
starting point to learn from. I'm using mspgcc version 3.2.3.

thanks so much in advanced.

I'm using mspgcc version 3.2.3.The header files for the MSP430F1231 are in CVS, and in the latestinstaller for Windows. There is no example code specifically for the2xxx parts right now. However, many of the examples for the 1xx deviceswill run on the 2131.Regards,

John,

thanks for the information. After the modification made on the
"iostructures.h" file, I got the same error as you shown it.

I'm confused? Can you give me more guidance?

Thanks
