gtk+ 2.8.6 'make' fails @ "week_start" undeclared in gtkcalendar.c

hi all,

i've built:

GLIB v2.8.3
ATK v1.10.1
CAIRO v1.0.2
PANGO v1.10.0

on OSX 10.4.2.

compile of:

GTK+ v2.8.6

goes smoothly, but make dies at:

...
gcc: unrecognized option `-pthreads'
gtkcalendar.c: In function `gtk_calendar_init':
gtkcalendar.c:672: error: `week_start' undeclared (first use in this function)
gtkcalendar.c:672: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
gtkcalendar.c:672: error: for each function it appears in.)
gtkcalendar.c:568: warning: unused variable `langinfo'
gtkcalendar.c:569: warning: unused variable `week_1stday'
gtkcalendar.c:570: warning: unused variable `first_weekday'
gtkcalendar.c:571: warning: unused variable `week_origin'
make: *** Error 1
make: *** Error 1
make: *** Error 2
make: *** Error 1
make: *** Error 2

looking at code, "week_start" appears ONLY in gtkcalendar.c src.

at first glance, a bit confusing as to the priv-> decl in the src ...

any suggestions?

thx!

richard
